Asana, pranayama, and meditation.

With movement, breathing, and focus, we practice being here, now.

“Yoga is the journey of the self, through the self, to the self.”

- The Bhagavad Gita

Our shala welcomes you.

Wake with the sunrise and come together to greet the new day. Experienced practitioners and new yogis alike: we welcome you into our shala, a warm, cozy space with broad Maine pine shiplap and long views through the pines, down to the lazy Carrabassett River below. Our practices are dedicated to meeting each day as a unique opportunity to practice mindfulness, acceptance, and loving-kindness. We happily customize the daily practices to meet each student’s needs. Beginners always welcome.

Everybody breathes.

For new practitioners, asana (postures), pranayama (breathwork), and meditation can seem daunting; for experienced practitioners, the same can be true—believe us! But breathing is for everyone. We return to that basic tenet of practice, day after day, year after year. Our lives are comprised of the breaths we take. We support you by creating the space—physical and energetic—that you need to nurture yourself, to breathe.

We provide all your mats, blocks, props, bolsters, meditation cushions, straps, blankets, and towels. You’re welcome to bring your own. Our shala is climate-controlled in all seasons.

Our diverse programming includes various styles of practice, from vigorous vinyasa flows to gentle restorative yoga. Seminars take a deep dive into individual poses. We also offer private sessions in yoga, meditation, and other movement-based meditation.
