Late Winter Writing Workshop

  • Santosha on the Carrabassett 33 Winter Hill Street Kingfield, ME, 04947 United States (map)

Calling all writers, join Santosha on the Carrabassett for a cozy and convivial late winter writing workshop!

Spend a long weekend of creative writing, workshopping, and camaraderie in the beautiful Western Mountains of Maine. Guided by Matt O’Donnell, writers will submit short pieces of writing for discussion prior to the weekend, then work together to hone their craft with various exercises, readings, and discussions about the form and substance of great writing. Whether you write professionally or you have a memoir waiting in the wings, this weekend will nourish your drive to write. As always, Santosha strives to create safe, nurturing space for writers to be vulnerable and dive deeper into themselves.

Meanwhile, Santosha provides all the programming you know and love from our Holistic Retreats every day, so you have plenty of options outside your writing—four daily meals, three daily yoga classes, two daily meditations, our nightly dharma talk, and more. Spend the days writing and workshopping, then wrap up the day with a good soak in the jacuzzi, a steam in our brand new cedar barrel sauna, and a hot toddy by the fire. Whether you’re traveling alone or with a companion (even one who doesn’t want to write!), know that you’ll be in good hands with plenty to keep you busy.

$ - The value of this Specialty Retreat is the same as the value of our Holistic Retreats. Learn more about value here.
